Split Fiction is a cooperative fantasy and sci-fi game that has captured the attention of every gamer since its release. With high-quality gameplay, impressive visuals, and touching stories of Mio and Zoe, the game stands out. However, many are wondering: will there be a bundle or any bonuses for the collector's edition, like in its predecessor It Takes Two? Are there mini-games? And, of course, what trophies are there in the game?Â
Make yourself comfortableâour article answers all these questions.Â
Split Fiction Pre-order Bonus
Unfortunately, Hazelight didnât delight its audience with beloved pre-order perks, so the game was sold only in one standard edition. It is still unclear whether the company plans to release any deluxe or special collectorâs editions with items like art books or figurines of the main characters, as it happened with the standalone release of characters from It Takes Two (note that these were released separately in collaboration with Gong).

Are there mini-games in Split Fiction?
Many are comparing the new game from Hazelight with its older sibling, and we wonât make an exception. We all remember that besides the story, there was a competitive element in the game â mini-games, where Cody and May competed for the top spot. However, in Split Fiction, instead of mini-games, we have side stories, and the small and fun activities the game offers include playing hopscotch, swimming in a pool on inflatable mattresses, or trying your hand at potion-making or experiencing its effects in one of the side stories.
Image: youtube.comYes, there are no competitive elements here, but this doesnât change the fact that mini-games do exist, just not in the same form as in It Takes Two. We would call these interludes, as they serve more as an entertainment element before diving into the main story.Â
By the way, if you're interested in this part of the game, we recommend checking out our article. It covers all the side stories and their locations.Â
Split Fiction Trophies â Laser Room
Not many knew about this, but the game also features a secret laser room that is far from easy to complete. While the other parts of the game are more of a warm-up for experienced gamers, and something light for Souls fans, the laser room is compared by many players to the infamous Path of Painâan optional secret room from Hollow Knight.
Image: youtube.comYou can find it in Chapter 6, Isolation, Maximum Security, by crossing a bridge using Zoe's superpower. To access the room, you need to enter a password that youâll find there: 1100101101. The left button on the floor corresponds to the number 0, and the right button corresponds to 1, so be careful when entering the code. Once you enter the code, stay on the 1 button and donât move. Call your partner and ask them to stand on the 0 button. This way, you will not meet the boss but will enter the secret laser room, or as many players call it, the "room of hell".
Image: youtube.comAhead, you will face five laser challenges with no save points. This means that if you fail at any stage, youâll be sent back to the very beginning. The subsequent challenges always require both players to interact, so not only will you have to start over, but your partner will too.

Not many players knew about this challenge, and many missed it, finishing the game without ever discovering its location. The discovery was made by a user named ItzBytez, who uploaded a walkthrough video on his YouTube channel, where, at the end of the video, he received a recorded congratulations from the CEO of Hazelight. Josef Fares invited the first players who completed this level to their company for a tour and to show sketches of his upcoming project.
You can watch the full walkthrough video here.Â
Split Fiction is a favorite game for many not only because of its variety in story decisions but also due to its level of difficulty. We hope you enjoyed the game as much as we did and that you had fun completing it. Have you tried completing the laser room yet? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
