It's time to dive back into the madness, but this time in Grand Theft Auto 5. In previous articles, I wrote about mods for Vice City and San Andreas, and now we'll touch on the fifth part, which is a favorite among many series fans.

It had a unique burglary mechanic, which, for some reason, was not included in any other game in the series. By pulling up to a house in a special van, you could activate a mini-game where the protagonist had to steal household items very carefully to avoid waking the homeowner.

GTA 5 also features several heists, but they are part of the storyline or multiplayer. Home Invasion adds the ability to rob houses in single-player mode. The creators worked on the interiors to make the possessions in mansions and humble shacks on the outskirts significantly different.

LSPD First Response

Enough of being outside the law! It's time to fix that and step to the other side of the barricades. If you want to serve the public good, you can install this mod to turn the game about the crazy adventures of criminals into a police simulator.

Players will access missions that involve catching lawbreakers. So, we've added realism to the visuals: it's time to add it to the gameplay. Now, in addition to other basic needs, like car theft and shooting people, two more important ones are added — food and sleep.

Tasty food will not only restore health but also help you survive. There are five states of health: from healthy to critical (with negative side effects), so now players will have to monitor these indicators as well.

It’s strange that in such a massive game with an open world, there's no option to walk into a café and grab a bite, although this mechanic was in previous parts.

Working Restaurants is another mod that adds realism, giving the character the ability to peacefully eat a tasty burger and wash it down with a Coke (though the process won't be shown). It also restores health. Combined with the previous mod, it will look great in the game.

Travel to North Yankton

There may be winter lovers among the readers, especially fans of snowy locations in GTA. In most parts, the action takes place in hot settings, with endless oceans, palm trees, and blazing sun. It gets tiresome.

Do you remember that place where we, along with Michael and Trevor, robbed a bank and had an intense shootout with the cops in the snowy American wilderness? If you suddenly want to revisit that harsh yet picturesque place called North Yankton, the game won’t allow it, condemning you to endlessly endure the scorching sun.

Fortunately, Travel to North Yankton lets gamers go to the airport and take a Christmas vacation up north.

Army at Five Stars

I remember the good old days when in the early games of the beloved series, the entire US Army was mobilized for some lone bandit who had run over too many pedestrians.

However, there's no such fun and madness in GTA 5, which greatly disappointed me. Who, if not a tank, will stop a guy with a machine gun? Some pathetic special forces? That's not serious: we're playing grown-up games by grown-up rules here!

In the cabin, I especially like the glowing elements.

Want to please your eyes? Then you definitely need this modification, which adds six bikini options and another six hairstyles to the game. The models are very well-made, as are the bikinis themselves. There is facial animation and skeleton animation, so the models won’t look like lifeless cardboard cutouts, so to speak.

Let’s return to the topic of shops, but this time focused on alcoholic beverages. After stocking up in the sex shop, you might need a drink for courage. That’s a joke, of course. Still, adding this location to the game is really worth it for the sake of realism.

Located on Carson Avenue. Head there to rob the liquor store—there’s even a back entrance. Your main characters’ lives will get more exciting because it’s another place to acquire a large sum of money.

Nude Beach Girls

I present another 18+ mod where girls walk around without tops—not only on the beach but also at the pool. What else do you need for a varied and steamy gameplay experience? The level of detail is good, and the utility runs stably, so I see no reason not to install the mod.

MSBS Grot Kitsune | Carbine Rifle

We’ve looked at mods for cars and 18+ utilities, so now it’s time to pay attention to the second—or maybe even the first—most important thing in the game: weapons. I could have shown some brutal firearm, but GTA 5 already has plenty, so let’s check out something more colorful and interesting.

The image shows the MSBS Grot Kitsune. Yes, it’s that Japanese mythical creature in the form of a fox. In my opinion, the model is made very well and looks beautiful; it has fascinating details. I’m sure some will enjoy running around with such an extraordinary weapon.

Improved Grass Dithering

Now let’s take care of the environment. The game should look stunning from every angle. Players sometimes don’t notice minor elements, yet those small details can transform a title.

Specifically, this is about the grass. Once you install this modification, the environment will change slightly.

This mod replaces the dithering texture used for the grass, which creates a terrible transition/dot effect (especially noticeable in the rain). You can see it in the image above.

Another small detail worth paying attention to. In real life, we do a lot to add variety to our routines: changing ringtones, changing wallpapers on our phones or PC monitors, and buying smartphone cases.

Well, you can do the same in GTA 5. But let’s focus on iPhone cases. After all, it’s nice to get something unusual and new in your virtual hands. Looking at the image of the available models, I already want to download them. Perhaps you will, too.

Now we’ve reached the map. According to the author, this is just a small, fun project that didn’t take much time. Indeed, a desert isn’t the most exciting place: just endless sand, with few interesting elements. However, I’m sure many players will enjoy driving around it because the usual city setting might have become dull.

It’s worth noting that the map’s size is comparable to Los Santos. That’s pretty impressive, but it’s still a desert. Still, for your own storylines or just out of curiosity, it’s worth installing.

Flower Fields

So, if someone didn’t like the endless sands, I want to offer something beautiful and mesmerizing: a field of flowers that the author created specifically for taking pictures. Look at the soft light and how well the details are crafted. This definitely deserves a place in our top GTA 5 mods.

Back to weapons again, and I suggest something unusual yet very interesting. Just one glance at the image immediately makes you think of something extraterrestrial. Yes, I love futuristic themes, which is why I’ve included this pack in my list of the best GTA 5 mods.

Not only do they have a cool design, but they also glow, which is certainly appealing. It’s just a pity there are only three models in the set.

I suggest adding a Molotov cocktail redesigned as a Coca Cola bottle to your arsenal. It will feel as though someone added Mentos to the drink, making it deadly. We already have Japanese and futuristic weapons, so let’s add this to the inventory as well. The game will definitely become more fun.
