Everyone loves competition and leaderboards—and multiplayer games are simply unimaginable without them! Naturally, League of Legends: Wild Rift is no exception. However, the ranking system here might initially confuse some newcomers. Don’t worry—in this article, we’ll explain it in detail, including its features and, of course, how many points you need to level up.

Wild Rift Ranking Tiers

The Wild Rift ranking system is divided into several tiers, each representing a different skill level. We’ve listed them below:

  • Iron
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Emerald
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grand Master
  • Challenger
  • Sovereign

The system is simple and is found in many multiplayer games. Its essence lies in the fact that each rank consists of four divisions, and to progress, players must participate in ranked matches and earn LP (League Points). Once enough LP is accumulated, you move on to the next division or rank, continuing this way to the very top. However, there’s an interesting detail: the last four ranks have no divisions.

Over time, too many players reached the highest title, which led the developers to introduce the Sovereign in Season 10. To reach this new peak, you need to accumulate 100 points in the previous rank, which was previously the highest. After Sovereign, there is no longer a ceiling—it becomes a competition among the best, with numbers reaching stratospheric heights.

How to access ranked matches in Wild Rift

To access ranked games, you only need to reach level 10 and have 16 champions unlocked. These requirements ensure that beginners first get accustomed to the "kiddie pool", playing against bots or in normal matches where nothing is at stake. It’s a safe way to get familiar with champion abilities, understand the mechanics better, and get used to the gameplay. With this approach, by the time you enter ranked mode, you’ll already have some experience and confidence. You’ll be far less likely to make mistakes with a champion you’ve already played.

Now you can start earning points. Wins award points, and losses take them away. What matters isn’t just the match outcome, but also how everyone played. This affects how many points you gain or lose.

There’s one exception: in Iron and Bronze, you can’t lose points. This was designed to support new players and boost morale—only progress, nothing discouraging!

Legendary Queue

Legendary Queue isn’t just a ranked mode—it’s a digital Olympus, where MOBA gods prove their right to immortality. This is where those whose names shine in the top 100 of the regional leaderboards compete.

The path to this pantheon begins at the Master rank and with 1,000 mastery points for a selected champion. Once you enter LQ, you remain in it—even if you fall to a lower rank—but you’ll have to requalify to climb back up.

The LQ Tiers and Divisions are:

  • Warrior (IV–I);
  • Commander (IV–I);
  • Guardian (IV–I);
  • Vanquisher (IV–I);
  • Immortal (IV–I);
  • Legend.

You begin at Commander IV with 800 LP. Every 200 points takes you to the next level in the divine hierarchy. Inactivity is punished with a "fall from Olympus" back to the base 800 LP. If you're inactive for 7 days, the system will start deducting 40 LP per week—as if time itself erases the memory of your feats.

LQ doesn’t rank—it legitimizes legends. Your MMR here isn’t just a number—it’s your ticket into the club of the chosen.

How Does the Rank Fortitude System Work in Wild Rift?

The Ranked Fortitude system in Wild Rift rewards consistency and quality gameplay. It’s displayed as a fortitude bar. You can accumulate a certain number of points for each rank by playing regular matches.

Maximum fortitude for each rank:

  • Iron: 250 points;
  • Bronze: 300 points;
  • Silver: 350 points;
  • Gold: 400 points;
  • Platinum: 450 points;
  • Emerald: 500 points;
  • Diamond: 550 points;
  • From Master to Sovereign: 600 points.

Fortitude is accumulated through victories, demonstrated skill, and continuing to play even if the team goes AFK. When the fortitude bar is full, the player earns two level badges for a victory. It can also be strengthened by completing autofill missions, playing the first game of the day, receiving compensation for matches with weaker players, attempting to turn around a losing game, playing daily across all modes, and maintaining win streaks.

However, fortitude decreases when leaving a match early, displaying negative behavior, or going AFK. This stat has a weekly cap of 1,200 points, which resets every Monday at 00:01 UTC.
