Valve has announced that it will cease to support CS:GO as of January 1, 2024. According to the developers, all efforts will now be thrown into perfecting CS2.

Also, according to the team, they have made the difficult decision to stop supporting DirectX 9 and 32-bit operating systems. Additionally, there will no longer be support for MacOS. In total, they made up less than 1% of active CS:GO players. In the future, CS2 will exclusively support 64-bit versions of Windows and Linux.

As for the outdated version of CS:GO, after January 1, 2024, the game will still be available, but some functionalities, such as access to inventory, may work significantly worse than before.

Furthermore, Valve emphasized that users with Prime status can request a refund if they have a 32-bit OS, DirectX 9, or MacOS.
