Popular streamer Bradley "Slugy" Kohler faced the most unusual ban in Counter-Strike 2. The FACEIT platform administration blocked his account for 24 hours because he played 78 games in a row. Kohler streamed all the matches on his Twitch channel over two days.
He noted that this was the funniest reason he had ever been banned in his life.
While launching a new game on FACEIT, Kohler received a notification about the temporary ban with the reason "Go To Sleep". Interestingly, during his sleepless marathon, the streamer won 49 matches and lost 29, resulting in a total loss of 16 Elo rating points.
Playing for such an extended period has historically led to deaths from sleep deprivation, sudden medical issues caused by lack of rest, including pulmonary embolism, brain hemorrhages, or fatal cardiac arrhythmia. For those with pre-existing health problems, the consequences of such a marathon can be much more serious.
After receiving the ban, Slugy indeed went to bed and slept for 10 hours straight. Now, he just has to wait until late evening to return to his favorite game.
