On December 15th, the Frostivus event was released in Dota 2. In connection with this, Valve prepared a gift for each player depending on their behavior this year — gamers were either punished for violating the game's rules or rewarded with a chest for exemplary behavior.

Frostivus

  • From December 15th to January 11th, players can earn themed chests if they fill a special counter. The key is purchased separately;
  • There is a chance of obtaining an additional unusual version of one of the items when opening a chest;
  • Along with the chests, a bonus reward will be given in the form of graffiti, emoticons, and Frosty the Noth Ward wards;
  • The developers again wielded the ban-hammer against smurf accounts and people with bad conduct. Those with good conduct will receive a gift;
  • The game has added festive hats, new "High Fives", and an unlimited number of consumables (snowballs, fireworks, penguins, and snowmen).

Patch 7.35

The update turned out to be quite rich in changes. Here are just the main ones.

  • New items: Ring of Tarrasque, Tiara of Selemene, Khada, Parasma;
  • Removed neutral items: Tumbler’s Toy, Ring of Aquila, Quickening Charm, Titan Sliver, Penta-Edge Sword, Spell Prism, Ex Machina, Fallen Sky;
  • The reward for killing all neutral creeps has been reduced by 2. The damage of super creeps and mega creeps has been increased by 5;
  • The courier now has a number of attacks, instead of health. Melee heroes kill it with 1 hit, ranged heroes with 2, and creeps and towers with 6;
  • New Watchers near the Mine and Well. Using Teleports consumes 75 mana. Creatures without mana use them for free;

  • Tormentor can't have less than 0 armor. New ability The Shining: it deals 6 damage every 0.2 seconds (30 damage per second), distributing it equally among all creatures within a 1200 radius;
  • New Roshan ability: Roar of Retribution. If Roshan is below 80% health and is attacked by the hero who killed him last time, Roshan emits a map-wide roar, deals damage to all creatures within a 900 radius, and increases the damage they take by 25%. Initial damage: 50. Damage increase per minute: 10;
  • New item for Roshan: Roshan's Banner. Sets a banner at any point on the map for 5 minutes. A lane creep (swordsmen, mage, or catapult) that passes within 750 of the banner gains +75% health and +50% damage for 45 seconds. The banner can be destroyed by six hero attacks (creep attacks count as 1/4 of a hero's attack). The item is consumed upon use. The enemy team receives a notification about the placement of the banner. Effects of multiple banners do not stack. Reward for destroying the banner: 200 gold;
  • Now after the second and subsequent deaths, Roshan drops Cheese if killed on the side of Light, or Roshan's Banner if killed on the side of Darkness;
  • Now after the third and subsequent deaths, Roshan drops Refresher Shard if killed on the side of Light, or Aghanim’s Blessing if killed on the side of Darkness;
  • "Double Damage Runes" are now called "Damage Amplification Runes". They now provide 80% bonus damage and 15% to spell damage;
  • Invisibility Rune reduces damage taken by 25%. Now taking damage does not disable the regeneration rune effect, but reduces recovery to 1% of health and mana per second;
  • Added a new bonus: increase in spell radii. Increases the radii and width of spells. Currently, only Bloodstone has such an effect.
