The Mobile Legends Bang Bang World Championship has returned to its roots this year, taking place in Malaysia (where the first tournament in the series was held), and now only eight teams remain in the tournament.

Over the course of a week, sixteen teams competed against each other in a Swiss system format. To qualify for the playoffs, a team needed to secure three victories out of five matches, but this task proved to be challenging for many. The tournament has been dominated by Asian teams, with only the Russian squad Team Spirit breaking the dominance of Eastern teams in the playoffs.

Next, the eight teams will face a tough battle in the Double Elimination bracket. Notably, there is a variation in the length of matches. While the Swiss Stage saw teams play Best-of-1 and Best-of-3 series, the playoffs will feature matchups up to three victories, and the grand final will be decided in a Best-of-7 series.

Remember, the prize pool for the tournament is one million dollars, and this year, we will have guaranteed new world champions. The Knockout Stage matches will begin on December 7, and the best team will lift the trophy on December 15.
