The main surprise in the esports scene of the last days is the loan of s1mple to FaZe Clan. The North American club is willing to go big and you can see it even during such a short-term affair.

According to HLTV editor Milan ā€œStrikerā€ Å vejda, FaZe likely paid between $50,000 and $100,000 to bring s1mple on board for 30 days. While that number isn’t confirmed, it wouldn’t be shocking — s1mple is widely considered one of the best players in Counter-Strike history, so his temporary transfer comes with a hefty price tag.

During the upcoming Austin Major, fans will get the usual CS2 in-game goodies like team stickers and player autographs. However, don’t expect to see s1mple’s signature — since he’s technically a substitute and not a full-time FaZe member, he won’t get his own stickers in this event.

Still, this move isn’t about money for s1mple. It’s more about proving he can still compete at the highest level. After taking a step back from the scene, he’s clearly looking to remind the world why he’s a CS legend.
