We’re all used to occasional mishaps on the professional esports scene, but what recently happened at FISSURE Special is one for the books.

Mosquito Clan received a technical loss in their match against OG after Parker failed to join the game following the draft phase. Before the map started, Parker’s team called a pause, which lasted around 20 minutes — but even after it ended, the Peruvian player’s character didn’t move.

According to Mosquito Clan representatives, Parker fell asleep during the draft. To be fair, he was playing as a stand-in, and the match was scheduled for 5 a.m. Peruvian time. Still, the real questions might be aimed less at the player and more at the team that brought him in.

FISSURE Special runs online from April 5 to April 13, with seven teams competing for a $70,000 prize pool. The tournament features the Elimination Draft rule, meaning teams can’t pick the same hero more than once per series.
