Valve announced the 2024 edition of the traditional Dota 2 Short Film contest. As usual, this is one of the side activities during the main event of The International where talented video producers get their fair share of glory.

Entries will be accepted until August 18. The video must be uploaded to the Steam Workshop, and its length should not exceed 90 seconds. The best videos will be determined by viewer voting, with the top ten being shown during The International 2024 broadcast. The prize pool for the contest is $43,500, which will be divided among all top ten finalists. The winner will receive $25,000, and those in 4th to 10th place will each earn $500.

Here is the winner of last year's contest, well-known content creator 4fun with his work "Chemical Rage".

The main event of The International 2024 will take place on September 13-15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The prize pool of the Dota 2 World Championship will be determined later; in previous years, it started at $1.6 million and was supplemented by in-game item sales.
