Sony took a major blow as their game Concord will be shut down this Friday, only two weeks after its release. Sales of Concord have been halted, and the developers are issuing refunds to players on both platforms. Firewalk Studios has published instructions on how to request a refund.

The developers of Concord are currently evaluating the best options for the game's future support. No specific plans have been made yet, which means the game could potentially be relaunched or even transitioned to a free-to-play model.

Firewalk Studios admitted that the game's launch was unsuccessful and did not meet their expectations. As a result, Firewalk Studios made the difficult decision to shut down the servers.

Concord was released on August 23 for PC and PS5. The game's peak online player count on Steam reached only 697. For a game that took lots of resources to be developed it is a total disaster.

Previously, analyst Simon Carless reported that Concord sold approximately 25,000 copies, a figure later confirmed by journalist Christopher Dring.
