During a May 6 presentation in Tokyo, FromSoftware revealed what's coming in Elden Ring Tarnished Edition — and it’s more than just a re-release. The upgraded version is set to launch in 2025 on Nintendo Switch 2 and will feature new content for fans ready to dive back into The Lands Between.

Two new character classes are being added: the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Knight. A photo from the event, published by Famitsu, gave fans their first look at the designs of these fresh heroes. Alongside the classes, the Tarnished Edition also brings four new armor sets, four weapons, four Ashes of War, and several mount skins to customize your ride.

Players on other platforms won’t be left out. All this content will be available as a mini-DLC called the Tarnished Pack, letting existing players upgrade their experience without buying the full edition again.

The announcement comes after Elden Ring hit a major milestone — over 30 million copies sold in just three years. With more content on the way and a new generation of players on Switch 2, Elden Ring is far from done making history.
