Publisher Dotemu, alongside studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has unveiled Absolum — a dynamic fantasy beat 'em up with roguelite elements.
The story takes place in the world of Talamh, which was devastated by a magical cataclysm. The inhabitants of this world fear magic, and the ruthless ruler, King-Sun Azra, exploits these fears to enslave mages with the help of his Crimson Order. A group of brave heroes rises against him, including the necromancer Galandra, the rebel gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the mysterious Sidr.
Players can expect intense action with upgradable abilities, powerful combos, and magical spells. Absolum supports both single-player and cooperative modes, where players can combine attacks and synchronize strikes to create devastating combinations.
The game's soundtrack is being crafted by legendary composers: Gareth Coker (known for Ori and Halo Infinite), Yuka Kitamura (who worked on Dark Souls and Elden Ring), and Mick Gordon (the composer behind DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart).
The game is set to release in 2025 on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
