Remedy Entertainment has shared the first details about the recently announced co-op shooter FBC: Firebreak. The Finnish studio is self-publishing the game, so it will be available for mid-price on PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store simultaneously, without any exclusivity.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will also release at the same time. Cross-play is confirmed. The shooter will be available for purchase and also through subscription services such as Game Pass (PC and Ultimate) and PS Plus (Extra and Premium) on the day of release.

FBC: Firebreak is a co-op game designed for three players. It will feature only PvE content, with no PvP battles. The game is being developed on the Northlight Engine, but its system requirements will be modest. Remedy aims to ensure that the shooter can be comfortably played on the Steam Deck, believing this will help them reach the widest audience possible.

The story will explore what happens in the Oldest House after the events of Control. However, knowledge of the events of Control won’t be necessary to understand FBC: Firebreak.
