Master Chief, the protagonist and the face (although behind the helmet) of the Halo franchise, is also quite a popular skin in Fortnite. Fans celebrated its comeback to the shop after more than two years of absence, but there was one little problem.

The thing is when this skin was introduced to Fortnite, there was a special Matte Black style which got awarded to those who played the game on Xbox Series S|X. For quite some time it was advertised that you could obtain the style any time. That's why the sudden announcement of discontinuation was met quite negatively.

Some fans also thought that it would violate some laws and rules, and even started preparing a class action lawsuit. However, one day later, Epic Games reverted this decision. Matte Black will be available to all the owners of the Master Chief skin, as long as they play at least one game on Xbox Series S|X.

So far, this seems to be the best decision. As many players celebrate Christmas and it's a holiday season, it is not wise to spoil the mood with such tricks.
