FromSoftware has published an image of one of the bosses from the upcoming expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. The illustration depicts a creature with gray hair, horns, and a mask. The boss holds curved blades and appears to be moving in a crouched position. The developers did not provide further details about this monster that players will face in the expansion.

The release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is set for June 21, 2024. The DLC is expected to be the largest in the history of FromSoftware's games. Among other features, the expansion will include more than ten bosses and eight new weapon categories.

In the near future, Bandai Namco Games and FromSoftware will hold a special event for journalists and content creators, where they will be able to play a preview version of Shadow of the Erdtree. This was previously mentioned by streamer Emiru, who received an invitation to the event. It is likely that gameplay previews of the DLC will appear online afterwards.

Also, earlier, Hidetaka Miyazaki mentioned that the expansion would not be the final of the Elden Ring story, even though it will have several possible endings.
