Hollow Knight: Silksong has practically become a meme at this point. Fans have been waiting for the game for so long, yet there’s still no sign of an actual release date. However, there’s now a new glimmer of hope that the long-awaited game might be coming soon.

It turns out that Silksong's Steam data was recently updated. Notably, Team Cherry's copyright date for the project was changed from 2019 to 2025. Additionally, potential support for GeForce Now was mentioned.

Naturally, fan theories immediately started circulating—some believe these updates are a hint that Silksong will release this year.

Some players also pointed out that Nintendo is set to hold a major Switch 2 presentation on April 2, where a Silksong release date announcement would fit perfectly. After all, the game was originally planned for the first Switch (and PC).

Officially, though, none of this has been confirmed. The new chapter in the Hollow Knight universe was first announced back in 2019, and ever since, fans of the original have been "going crazy" searching for hints about Silksong’s release.

Some players have even mentally accepted the possibility that the game might be canceled altogether, but so far, there’s no evidence that this metroidvania is “dead.” Right now, things don’t seem like pure copium, so anything is possible.
