Lebedev "Mighty Semchan" Semyon Genshin Impact’s developers have started teasing a new character for update 5.5! As usual, miHoYo (HoYoverse) is running behind—insiders had already leaked her concept art and gameplay.
This time, all eyes are on Varesa, and it's not just another leak—it’s an official reveal! She’ll be a 5-star Electro character, wielding a Catalyst in battle.

Iansan describes her this way:
"Varesa, my most peculiar student… No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature. The second character joining update 5.5 is Iansan! She used to be just an NPC, but now she’s stepping into the spotlight as a playable character. Iansan is a 4-star Electro user who wields a Polearm.
