Kingdom Come: Deliverance II took on the role of the first big title of this year, and this was an awesome beginning! Even though we are now left without the most anticipated game of the decade (you all know these three letters), 2025 seems to be quite stacked. But let's return to KCD. Warhorse Studios announced their sequel to a quite unique game has sold 3 million copies worldwide — and it did that in just three months. For comparison, the original game took nearly two and a half years to hit the same milestone.
It still didn't overpass the original game, which now has an eight-figured number of copies sold, making the franchise one of the most successful historical RPG series out there. To celebrate the new record, Warhorse also shared some fun in-game stats: players have collectively spent 378 million hours drunk. And when it comes to medieval drinking, wine was the top pick over beer.

KCD II has also become one of the highest-rated games of 2025 so far. It holds an impressive 93% approval rating from players on Steam and an average critic score of 88 out of 100 on Metacritic. That mix of strong sales, fan love, and critical praise puts KCD II firmly among this year’s RPG standouts.
