SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio presented a new trailer for the upcoming action-adventure Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Additionally, they announced a release date change that will please fans of the series, as the game is now set to release a week earlier than planned, on February 21, 2025. The development process might flow really smoothly, because it is not often when the deadline is moved closer and not further.

The new trailer introduces the story’s premise: Goro Majima wakes up on a beach, having lost all memory of how he ended up there or who he even is. He is found by a boy named Noah, who leads Majima to a pirate ship. Despite the confusion of encountering sailboats and pirates in the modern world, Majima sees it as a perfect opportunity for some fun.

The trailer also showcases a naval battle scene reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, with Majima and his crew facing off against rivals in a treasure hunt. His old friend Taiga Saejima will join him on this adventure, and during brawls, Majima will be able to summon animals like sharks and giant chimpanzees to aid him.
