IGN has published a gameplay video of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The 22-minute video is accompanied by commentary from BioWare developers. It showcases a quest in which the player must help the companion Davrin. This mission is part of Davrin's personal story arc, where he seeks to find representatives of the extinct griffons.

Developers also demonstrate various mechanics of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. For instance, viewers can see the dialogue system, which resembles previous BioWare games, allowing players to choose responses through a circular menu during conversations with characters.

A few minutes into the video, viewers get a glimpse of the combat system. The battles might appear dense due to the bulky interface, which aids in executing combos against enemies. Strategic management of the hero's abilities and those of their companions is crucial for victory.

Throughout the adventure, players will explore various fantasy locations. The developers mentioned that players will have the opportunity to revisit previously explored areas to complete all available activities.

The release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard is scheduled for October 31 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
