Electronic Arts has officially announced that the next Battlefield game will launch before the end of March 2026. A full reveal is coming in summer 2025, and EA says this game is a major step in creating a new era of blockbuster titles. Four different studios are working together under the Battlefield Studios label to build a shared universe set in a modern-day world.

The game recently entered a closed testing phase, where players logged thousands of hours, destroyed over a million objects, and gave the devs helpful feedback. Based on that, the team made big improvements to gameplay. Shooting feels better, character movement is smoother, and destruction is now more exciting and realistic. Running, dodging, and climbing mechanics were also fine-tuned.

EA says they’re aiming to be more transparent with fans this time, especially after the negative response to Battlefield 2042. Alongside Battlefield, EA also confirmed that the new Skate game will launch by April 2026, with early access expected before the end of 2025.
