Grand Theft Auto 5 is about to receive a significant upgrade on PC as Rockstar prepares for the launch of the enhanced edition in Steam. Following updates observed in the Rockstar Launcher, where the original game was renamed, the change has now been extended to Steam as well.
In player libraries, the original version of the game is now labeled as "Grand Theft Auto 5 Legacy," while the updated iteration is marked as "Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced."
The pre-download for GTA 5 Enhanced is now live on Steam, requiring around 91.69 GB of free storage space. The next-gen update, featuring enhancements previously introduced on consoles, is set to release on March 4.
Importantly, the legacy version of GTA 5 and GTA Online will not be removed, allowing players to continue enjoying the classic experience. This means fans have the option to stick with the original game or switch to the enhanced edition with improved features and performance.
