Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will receive an update in 2025, bringing the PC version up to par with the current versions for PS5 and Xbox Series.

While no specific details were provided, it’s likely this will include more than just a graphical upgrade. PC players may gain access to the GTA+ subscription, which is currently available only for PS5 and Xbox Series users.

Additionally, some content in the console version of GTA Online is unavailable on PC — for example, unique car modifications from Hao, allowing vehicles to reach ultra-high speeds. It’s quite possible that extreme turbo-tuning will also soon be available on PC.

Rockstar seems to be gradually aligning the console and PC versions of GTA V, likely in preparation to shift focus to Grand Theft Auto VI, expected to release in fall 2025 on consoles, with a PC version to follow later. There are speculations that this update might arrive in early 2025, but we'll unlikely to hear Rockstar's comments on them..
