Tekken fans were eagerly asking for Lidia to return in Tekken 8, and while the Prime-Minister of Poland has been confirmed for quite some time, the ambiguous "Summer 2024" was driving players crazy. Now, we know the exact day when Lidia will be playable in the game. She will be in early access on July 22, with the official arrival on July 25. Bandai Namco also presented her character trailer.

But the release date of the Warrior Prime-Minister was not the only news for today. Bandai Namco announced the format of the Tekken World Tour Finals. This format looks very exciting.

As you know, the best 20 players of the global leaderboards and the best 15 players of the regional leaderboards will be invited to the Tekken 8 world championship, which will be a four-day competition. Those who made it through the global leaderboards, will fight on Day 1, and eight best players out of this group stage will move to the upper bracket of the double-elimination playoffs on the final day.

Regional leaders will play each other on Day 2, and six best players will go to the lower bracket on the final day. This seems reasonable as qualifying through the regional leaderboard will be much easier.

Day 3 will be the Last Chance Qualifier that will bring the last two players to the lower bracket of the playoffs. And the most exciting thing is that those who failed on Days 1 and 2 will also be eligible to participate in the LCQ, making it truly the "Last Chance".

The Tekken 8 world champion will be crowned on Day 4 of the TWT Finals.

On a more casual and funny note, Bandai Namco also released the birthdays for all of Tekken characters, including those in Tekken 8. You can look for them at the special webpage.
