The Alters is a unique survival project where the main character - miner Jan Dolski - finds himself alone on a hostile planet. His mission is to build a shelter and form a team. But as the sole survivor of a catastrophe, he must unite with his alternate versions created through a scientific experiment.

Previously, developers emphasized aspects like base expansion, resource gathering, and maintaining relationships with Jan's "alters". However, as it turns out, this is only part of the complex gameplay.

In the latest trailer, the studio revealed new details - one of the main challenges will be time management. The hostile environment constantly presents dangers: for example, daylight here is lethally dangerous due to extreme temperatures. This stems from the game world's unique feature where day/night cycles come with critical radiation levels.

But radiation isn't the only threat. Jan and his duplicates have limited energy reserves that must be allocated between various tasks. As the creators note, success depends on meticulous daily planning. Yet players will inevitably face unpredictable events, making adaptation and quick problem-solving in critical situations the most vital skills.
