Tekken’s longtime director Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed he’s trying to add a Waffle House-inspired stage to the game—even though the real restaurant chain hasn’t answered his messages. Fans have been asking for this collab for over a year, and Harada’s clearly been paying attention.

Waffle House is a famous 24/7 American diner, but it’s also internet-famous for a weirder reason: fights often break out there, turning it into an unlikely meme hotspot. That chaotic energy has made fans dream of seeing Tekken characters brawl in the middle of a Waffle House. It started as a joke, but turned into a serious fan request.

Harada said he’s tried reaching out to the company “through several different channels” but never got a reply. He thinks it might be because his game is centered around fighting, and that might not be the kind of attention Waffle House wants. Still, he’s open to making it happen in a different way—maybe with a new name or a slightly changed setting.

One fan had a great idea and suggested calling it “Scuffle House,” which sounds just right for Tekken’s vibe. And since the Tekken team already teased a new character for winter, maybe that fighter could even be a Scuffle House employee. That would be wild—and totally on brand.
