Renowned insider Tom Henderson has provided more details regarding the delay of Assassin's Creed Shadows to 2025, including additional reasons and the broader context of the situation.

The delay of the game isn't just for additional polish but also to address cultural and historical inaccuracies. Despite wild rumors, Yasuke won't be thrown out, but Ubisoft will change parts of his story. Issues with Shadows can be attributed to several factors: for example, experts in history were approached on board much later. Also, there were big misunderstandings between staff.

On the technical side, it is simply not ready yet to be released. Devs are working on fixing bugs and making changes to gameplay elements, but the latter will take more time to implement. Henderson mentioned that his sources are confident that Shadows will indeed release on February 14, as the devs have enough time to finish it.

He also addressed some questions from gamers. For instance, he estimated that The Division 3 is still about four years away from release. Despite the challenges Ubisoft is currently facing, Henderson is confident that the company will overcome them. However, his sources do agree that significant waves of layoffs may occur.
