If you're eagerly waiting for the Assassin's Creed Shadows, there are some worrying news for you. Ubisoft canceled a special event for journalists dedicated to the game, according to journalist Tom Henderson, who cited multiple sources.

Looks like Ubisoft initially were planning to hold the event for journalists some time between September 30 and October 6, during which the company was expected to announce the date when preview embargo would be lifted. However, the publisher has now canceled the event for unknown reasons.

Henderson speculates that the cancellation might hint at potential threat of delaying the game. There is also one fact that can prove this idea. The publisher previously canceled its presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2024 for undisclosed reasons. Considering that there are not many opportunities left to present the game this year, this worrying explanation might indeed be true.

So far, Ubisoft are silent about a possible change in the release date of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which is currently scheduled for November 15, 2024.
