Gameinvader, a popular YouTuber, recently uploaded a video comparing Assassin’s Creed Shadows with Ghost of Tsushima, focusing on their graphics and gameplay elements. The comparison delved into character models, animations, environmental textures, water rendering, vegetation, weather effects, and even horse-riding mechanics.

The video also drew parallels between Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Red Dead Redemption 2, particularly in terms of physics and gameplay dynamics. Scenes showcasing movement on snow and ice, bow-and-arrow combat, high-altitude falls, and swimming were highlighted to emphasize the differences and similarities.

While Assassin’s Creed Shadows benefits from being part of a newer console generation, having a larger budget, and a more extensive development team, some viewers argued that comparing it to Ghost of Tsushima —a game from an older generation—isn’t entirely fair. Others chimed in, suggesting a future comparison with Ghost of Yotei, which is expected to release later this year.

The reception for Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 1 million players already diving into the game. Its Steam rating reflects this success, currently marked as “Very Positive.”
