When Warzone first launched, it was a massive hit. Many players found in Verdansk what they couldn’t get from other battle royale games. Now, with Black Ops 6 struggling, the return of the OG map could bring some players back to the servers.

Activision has released a short teaser trailer hinting at the long-awaited return of Verdansk. According to the video description, players will be able to revisit this iconic location in celebration of Call of Duty: Warzone's five-year anniversary. The official release is set for Black Ops 6 Season 3, launching on April 3.

The teaser itself is filled with nostalgia and warmth. Set to a calm melody, it showcases the beauty of Verdansk, featuring military planes, jeeps, and operators in a classic military aesthetic—something rare in today’s Call of Duty, which is packed with collaborations and unrealistic cosmetic content.

However, there’s a catch: players don’t just want Verdansk’s streets—they want the old mechanics, movement, sounds, and graphics. Many are calling for the return of the original Warzone servers, but it’s unlikely that Activision will listen to these demands. The original Warzone launched in March 2020, and since then, over 125 million players have tried the game.
