If there’s one studio that knows how to make a true full demolition racing game, it’s Bugbear Entertainment. These mad lads from Finland prioritize adrenaline and pure, chaotic fun, which is exactly why their arcade racing games have such a devoted fanbase.

Wreckfest 2 was first announced last summer, but now we’ve got a new trailer and, more importantly, a release date! The game will launch in Steam Early Access on March 20!

The latest trailer is under a minute long, but it perfectly captures the core experience of Wreckfest 2. Players will compete in high-speed destruction derbies with all sorts of beat-up junkers. The damage system is getting special attention, ensuring that every crash, dent, and flying piece of debris looks as spectacular as possible. Tracks will also be littered with old tires and other wreckage that reacts dynamically to cars smashing through them.

In early access, Wreckfest 2 will continue to evolve through regular updates. Bugbear has promised to add new cars and even different types of vehicles over time.

Saying we’re excited would be an understatement! Thankfully, the wait is almost over.
