Following in the footsteps of tech giants and various major Hollywood companies, Paramount Studios is also revising its approaches to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

According to Variety, in a memo sent to employees last Wednesday, the company's leadership, represented by George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy, and Brian Robbins, highlighted the need for changes due to new directives from the US presidential administration:
We are required to reassess the company's approaches to inclusivity in the future. As a result, some of our policies must be adjusted to align with these new requirements.
According to the memo, Paramount will no longer set or use ambitious quantitative goals related to race, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity when hiring employees.
Additionally, the company has ceased collecting data on race, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity from applicants in the US on its forms and job pages. The only exceptions are markets where such data collection is legally required.
