Ubisoft has quietly delayed several unannounced major games, according to the company’s latest financial report. While exact titles weren’t confirmed, these projects are said to be based on Ubisoft’s most iconic franchises and are now expected between the 2026–2028 fiscal years.

The internal delays come after a strategic shift in development planning. Ubisoft says it wants to ensure the “best conditions” for these titles to succeed — possibly hinting at quality concerns or internal restructuring.

One delayed game we do know about is the troubled remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Originally planned for 2021, it’s now targeting a Q1 2026 release. The project has been passed around several studios and is now in development at both Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto. A first gameplay reveal may happen during upcoming summer showcases.

While not officially named, it's likely the delay also impacts high-profile projects like Far Cry 7, the Splinter Cell remake, the Beyond Good & Evil sequel, and a rumored Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake.
