Rockstar Games founder and Grand Theft Auto series creator Dan Houser is starting a new project after departing the company in 2020. He established Absurd Ventures, a business that deals with books, graphic novels, animation, and games.

ABSURDAVERSE's new project promises to be something out of the ordinary. Absurd Ventures' official profile has revealed the first image introducing the characters of the new world. Details are scarce, but it is known that ABSURDAVERSE will develop both animated content and an adventure game with action-comedy elements.

The image shows a variety of characters, each of which will be part of a new universe. The project promises unconventional ideas in an unusual style that combines elements of absurdity and humor. Details on the first ABSURDAVERSE-related animated projects and games are expected in 2025.

Within Absurd Ventures, Dan Houser is working on two other universes, A BETTER PARADISE and AMERICAN CAPER, details of which will be revealed in 2025.

What about GTA 6? Analyst Matthew Ball previously asserted that Rockstar and Take-Two could save the gaming industry if they set new AAA game prices. As a result, gamers decided whether they would be prepared to shell out $100 for the entry-level Grand Theft Auto 6 edition. 

It turned out that many are actually ready. Even though Ubisoft now requires players to buy extended versions of their games, over one-third of the nearly 7,000 survey participants stated they would not mind paying for the basic version of the new sandbox Rockstar.
