The wait for the Nintendo Switch 2 has dragged on for quite some time. Judging by the volume of various leaks, however, it seems the Japanese company has most, if not all, of the preparations ready for the announcement. Nintendo's official stance has been that we will learn about the new console by the end of March, but insiders are now stepping in.
Well-known blogger NateTheHate has reported that Nintendo will make the long-awaited announcement this Thursday, January 16! However, he also notes some peculiarities: for instance, the blogger expects minimal information about software and games. In his view, the key focus will likely be on tech specifications (as if that isn't exciting enough).
As for games and a full-scale presentation of titles, NateTheHate predicts that this event will take place in late February or early March.
The blogger suggests that this two-stage approach to the reveal might be tied to the company's need to present something to investors to keep them happy. He also speculates that the console could launch in late May or early June, though an earlier release in April isn't out of the question. Either way, this promises to be an exciting week!
