Arc System Works, the studio behind Guilty Gear Strive, has reportedly been hit by a big leak—and fans are already digging through the files. One of the most interesting details? A mysterious project called Codename Watari that may launch as soon as November 25. It’s unclear if that’s just a placeholder name or the real title, but it’s supposedly planned as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
There’s not much known about the game itself yet, and even the release date might shift, especially since the leak also included outdated info claiming the Switch 2 would drop in March. In reality, Nintendo’s next-gen console is now set to release on June 5.
The leak also revealed some behind-the-scenes info about game distribution on the new system. Developers will reportedly have three options: digital download, a 64GB cartridge, or a “cartridge key” that lets players download the game online. Compared to the original Switch, which had smaller 8GB and 16GB cartridge options, this new approach could raise physical production costs even for small indie titles.
