According to TCMF Games, Guerrilla is currently focused on two projects in the Horizon universe: a multiplayer title and a full-fledged third installment of the franchise, scheduled for release in 2027.
Sources report that development on the third game in the series is already underway, and it will likely serve as the concluding chapter of Aloy's trilogy. The story is said to center around the Nemesis AI system, first introduced in the second game and Burning Shores expansion. Insiders also suggest the project could become a launch title for Sony's new console — PS6 — while maintaining backward compatibility with PS5.
The online game, which the studio is prioritizing, is expected to release first. Rumors about its development initially surfaced in early 2025, when job postings were discovered mentioning the creation of a cooperative mode set in the Horizon universe with the ambitious goal of "attracting an audience of over one million players".
While the developers haven't officially confirmed release windows, multiple indirect indicators suggest fans can expect an expansive continuation of Aloy's story — first through the online project, followed by the trilogy's final chapter.
