Capcom is on a serious winning streak. In its latest financial report, the company revealed that it’s had another record-breaking year, with profits and sales growing steadily for the 12th year in a row. From April 2023 to March 2024, Capcom sold nearly 52 million copies of its games—a 13% increase compared to 2024.
Most of these sales (about 90%) came from digital downloads, showing how players are moving away from physical discs. A big chunk of this success comes from Monster Hunter Wilds, which launched strong with 10 million copies sold in just its first month. Older titles in Capcom’s catalog also did well, selling nearly 40 million units combined, proving fans are still into the classics.
Capcom isn’t slowing down. The company wants to hit 54 million game sales in the new financial year. Some updated stats for Capcom’s biggest franchises overall: Resident Evil leads with 170 million copies sold, followed by Monster Hunter (120M) and Street Fighter (56M).
