The Finnish game studio Remedy is mostly known for Alan Wake and Control - two games with a unique atmosphere and quite a cult around them. However, recently there were some concerning rumors around it. Remedy’s Creative Director and Writer, Sam Lake, gave a brief interview and shared a bit about the studio's future plans.

Over the past few years, Remedy has grown in size, and several teams have been formed to work on different projects. Among the announced titles are the co-op game FBC: Firebreak, Control 2, and remakes of the first two Max Payne games. Lake emphasized that all teams collaborate with one another rather than working in isolation.

Lake stated that it’s still too early to think about a definitive narrative ending for the Remedy game universe. The developers have far too many ideas left to explore. Remedy strives to ensure that each game stands well on its own, while still providing fans with plenty of material to analyze the larger universe.

Having been in game development for over 25 years, Lake believes that every new project is an opportunity for innovation. He noted that there are no dull days at the studio, as new ideas are constantly emerging.
