A short clip from the movie Minecraft: The Movie was shown during the Minecraft Live presentation. In the clip, the main characters, portrayed by Jack Black and Jason Momoa, use a crafting table to make items.

Steve, played by Black, successfully crafts a quality sword. Garrett, played by Momoa, also attempts to craft a sword, but instead ends up with buckets. Steve jokes that it's not so bad, since buckets are always useful in the world of Minecraft.

This short clip seemed to calm people down. After trailer for the movie was released, lots of commentators were very angry and unhappy. Now, they saw that creators paid attention to the spirit of the game. Of course, some people still don't like that this movie still brings more accents on the actors (especially Jack Black) and not the game. But it looks like people are in a better mood now.

The plot of Minecraft: The Movie follows Garrett Garrison, Natalie, Dawn, and Henry as they are transported from the real world into the cubic Minecraft universe. Their survival is aided by Steve, a seasoned traveler who knows all the local rules.

The movie is set for a worldwide release on April 4, 2025.
