First, your task will involve some searching because without a transmuter chip, you'll get nowhere. And then, kill a demon. Which one, you ask? Correct, Quetzalcoatl.
Quetzalcoatl is positioned in the RPG as an optional boss. Though this enemy is categorized as "optional", defeating it can yield significant rewards. Secret battles exist in every region, and Quetzalcoatl is the first in the Grasslands area outside of Kalm. So, be prepared!

To start, you must scan the lifesprings. If by this point you've unlocked the transmuter chip, it means 2 lifesprings have already been scanned. Don't stop there; you need to scan two more to engage the boss and ensure the Quetzalcoatl Talon as a guaranteed reward after victory.
