Many RPGs feature mini-games, including gambling ones, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is no exception. Like in the previous game, there is a dice game, but with some new additions. Want to win big? Below, weâll explain how to increase your chances of winning.
Rules of the Dice Game

First, you need to find people to play dice with. They are usually found in taverns or encountered while resting during travels. When you offer to play, youâll need to decide on the bet. Remember, there is always a chance of losing, so it's better not to bet all your money.

To win, you need to accumulate a certain number of points or more before your opponent. The higher the bet, the more points youâll need to win. Points are earned through specific combinations. During the game, you can always press "E" to see which combinations exist and how many points they yield.
On your turn, Henry throws the dice. The result can contain one or more combinations, but only the ones you choose will count. After selecting the dice, youâll score points and end your turn. If there are no combinations (including ones and fives) on your roll, the turn passes to your opponent.

During the selection phase, you can set aside dice that yield points and then re-roll the remaining dice. You can do this as long as there are successful combinations. New points will be added to the previous total.
This way, you can earn more than if you stopped after the first roll, but if thereâs even one roll without combinations, all points for that turn will be lost, and the turn ends.

If no combinations are left after selecting dice, you can re-roll all six dice again. With a bit of luck, you may even re-roll several times, accumulating a huge amount of points.
Whatâs the Best Dice Game Strategy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
You can often get more points by following certain rules. Luck may not always be on your side, but the following tips are based on the most likely outcomes.

Because just one five or one on the dice allows you to re-roll the remaining dice, thereâs a fairly safe method for accumulating points. The chance of getting at least one of these two sides on all six dice is quite high. This often happens more frequently than getting any combination of multiple dice.
By using this, in case there are no better options, you can set aside one die after each roll. Keep in mind, however, that with each roll, the number of dice decreases, meaning the chance of getting any combination also becomes smaller. When there are only four dice left, the risk increases significantly, and itâs better to keep the points you have than risk losing everything.

Re-rolling three or fewer dice is a risky move and wonât yield much reward. In this case, the chance of getting three ones is minimal, and any other combination is unlikely to justify the risk of losing. Most of the time, it only makes sense to take such a risk with special dice, which weâll talk about in the next section.
If you need to get as many points as possible in one turn, for example, to overtake your opponent in a critical situation, and your roll is unsatisfactory, itâs a good idea to set aside one die instead of better combinations and re-roll the rest. This way, thereâs a decent chance of getting a better result than the previous one. Of course, itâs smaller than the initial one, but still worth a try.
If luck isnât on your side, evaluate if the needed points can be achieved with combinations from fewer dice. If so, continue re-rolling, but this should only be done when losing is a likely outcome otherwise.

Special Dice and Badges
Thereâs an opportunity to significantly improve your chances of winning. Itâs a bit of cheating, but other players often do the same. Special dice can be found in different parts of the world, as rewards for quests, or in merchant shops. They each have different properties, but the main idea is that they increase your chances of getting more favorable combinations.
At the start of the game, you can choose which dice to play with. Combine those that give you the best effect overall.

When you select them, a label with their name will appear on the board so you donât mix them up. Some should be left for re-rolls, for example, to guarantee a one or five when you have fewer dice remaining.

In addition to cheating, there is another way to play more effectively and diversely. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 introduces badges. When agreeing on the terms of the game, you can choose to play with this item, and decide whether to wager your own badge along with money.Â

They provide unique effects, some of which are passive, while others are activated by pressing a button. If the item's ability is activatable, a special icon appears under its name during the game. After activation, it turns gray.

Each budge game has its own strategy. Some create a new layer of excitement. For example, multiplying your current score during the turn is best used when your score is the highest, but since you donât know which score that will be in the game, youâll have to fight your greed and trust your intuition.

Mini-games within the game are common, but not all of them are equally interesting. Dice poker is hard to ruin, itâs great almost anywhere, but in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, itâs simply fantastic!
Remember, losing isnât a reason to reload your save. Your opponent sleeps at night, so if you want, the pickpocketing skill will help you get back your lost money.
