The Witcher Is Back! The Witcher 3, the most widely praised game in the series and one of the most cherished games ever made, was released almost ten years ago. The first trailer for The Witcher 4 has now been released, introducing Ciri, the new main character:

What is the plot for The Witcher 4?

Ciri is Geralt's adopted daughter, as you most likely recall, and since his trilogy is coming to a close, it appears that the younger generation should take center stage. In the teaser, Ciri enters a small village that is obsessed with saving itself by offering a young woman as a sacrifice to a monster. Traditional mob mentality. Ciri rushes in to save the woman because she clearly does not want this to occur. Ciri discovers, though, that the situation is far worse than she had first believed.

The rest is still shrouded in development secrecy, but the developers have already revealed that we can expect a sex scene with Ciri. Narrative director Philippe Weber explained that The Witcher 4 is a dark fantasy, and they are not going to skirt difficult topics. For example, as in the last installment, racism towards non-humans and witches will remain.

We also know that the events unfold a few years after the ending of the third Witcher. Ciri in the game will be 25 years old. By the way, Ciara Berkeley will voice over the main character in The WItcher 4.

The size of the map is about the same as in the last part, but the world is more alive and worked out. Well and Gwint was promised to add to the game, how could it be without it.

Previously, Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt, revealed in a Fall Damage video that "Geralt will be a component of the game." We just don't know how much, and the game won't be about Geralt this time." In this teaser, we hear some comments from the elderly Witcher, prompting many to speculate that he may serve as a mentor role.

What's the release date for The Witcher 4?

There is no official release date for The Witcher IV. We don't know what year this game will be released, but we do know that The Witcher 3 took the team three and a half to four years to produce, and Cyberpunk 2077 took even longer. If The Witcher IV is on a similar scale, and production is still so early that nothing can be displayed, the best bet right now is that it will be at least three or four years before the game is ready.

What platforms will The Witcher 4 be on?

No platforms have been announced, however based on the expected timetable, The Witcher IV should be a current-generation only game. However, it has been proven that it is not specific to any platform. We anticipate that the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions will all be launched concurrently. While The Witcher 3 managed to fit on the Switch, we doubt it will be doable this time. However, it may be doable on whatever the Switch 2 ends up being.

The Witcher 4 gameplay and system requirements

We don't have any gameplay to evaluate here, but we're convinced that CD Projekt Red will not want to shake up their main franchise too much in terms of gameplay. The CGI clip teases a few gameplay components, like the reintroduction of potions, two phrases, and magical Signs. Ciri's chain, which she uses to trap the monster and even conduct magic via, appears to be a possible new addition.

The game still has at least two more years of development to see the light of day, so PC system requirements are still unknown.
