The long-awaited CS2 release is just around the corner. The dataminer with the nickname Thour shared fresh news about the release date on his Twitter. After studying the game's code, he concluded that Counter-Strike 2 will be released on September 23.

The insider believes that the first season will start on September 23 and end on December 22, 2023. He also marked the second season's period from March 20, 2024, to June 21. The third season will kick off on September 22, 2024, and run until December 21.

He also wrote about the "Premier" mode. Players who will play in "Premier" will be able to sort the leaderboard into 4 categories:

• World;

• Region;

• Country;

• Friends.

As of today, the closed beta testing of the game, which started in March 2023, is still ongoing. At that time, the company announced that the release of Counter-Strike 2 was expected in the summer. However, they apparently decided to postpone the release.

Developers are actively working on the project. For example, they recently added new maps and floating chickens.
