The first CS2 Major of 2025 has received its final dates. BLAST announced that the tournament will take place from June 3 to June 22 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Fans can now plan their trips more clearly. However, for the players, these dates aren’t as important as others revealed by the tournament organizers.
We now know the ranking version that will be used to invite teams to the tournament and its qualifiers. The crucial VRS edition will be released on April 7. This means teams have a little over two months to either earn or retain valuable ranking points.
Speaking of qualifiers, BLAST has revealed the dates for the qualifiers in all three regions. They will happen during one week in April:
- Europe MRQ: April 14-17, 2025
- Americas MRQ: April 15-17, 2025
- Asia MRQ: April 15-17, 2025
It’s unclear whether the qualifiers will be played at a LAN event or online, but we’d assume the latter is more likely due to cost optimization. The final list of 32 teams that will compete at the Major with the updated format will be determined by the results of these qualifiers.
