Aside from The International and the Esports World Cup, ESL tournaments hold a special place in the Dota 2 ecosystem. This is primarily because the tournament organizer has established its own Pro Tour, adding extra intrigue and storylines beyond the usual international events with seven-figure prize pools.
In April, the ESL One series will visit Raleigh. Over the course of a week, twelve teams will compete against one another, and today we finally learned the full list of participants. As a reminder, ESL previously invited four teams based on their rankings in the EPT Leaderboard:
- PARIVISION
- BB Team
- Team Falcons
- Team Liquid
The remaining eight spots were filled through regional qualifiers. Some teams, like Team Spirit and Shopify Rebellion, confirmed their status as favorites with dominant performances in their regions.
However, there were also surprises: while the main Natus Vincere roster failed to qualify in Eastern Europe, NAVI Junior managed to secure a spot, knocking out notable teams like OG and AVULUS to become the second Western European representative alongside Tundra Esports.
Here’s the full list of qualified teams:
- Tundra Esports
- NAVI Junior
- Team Spirit
- Nigma Galaxy
- Xtreme Gaming
- Talon Esports
- Shopify Rebellion
- Heroic
The main tournament will run from April 7 to April 13, boasting a $1 million prize pool.
