The final day of the EVO Japan was left for the three biggest tournaments of the event. Street Fighter 6 had over five thousand entrants, while Tekken 8 and Guilty Gear -Strive- had almost 1250 and 900, respectively.

The EVO 2023 champion in GGST, Leffen, couldn't make it to the top 6, and in the grand finals, we saw the battle between TempestNYC and Sanakan. The American player had the perfect 10-0 run, and the 3:0 sweep in the grand finals is just the icing on the cake.

As for the Tekken 8 tournament, it was the first Master+ tier event, and judging by the previous Tekken World Tours, the first place basically guarantees themselves a trip to the final tournament. However, the strongest country in the game, Pakistan, was not represented by big names as all the top players, including world champion Arslan Ash, couldn't obtain visas.

That's why we had the Asian top 6, with Chikurin beating LowHigh in the grand finals to claim the trophy.

The Street Fighter 6 tournament broke records for EVO Japan, and it is more than deserving to see in first place the two-time Capcom Cup champion who couldn't lift the EVO trophy yet. The legend of the Street Fighter scene, MenaRD, crushed the bracket with a perfect 13-0 to win it all.

With that, we can say that most of the fighting game professional seasons have started. The only big exception is Mortal Kombat 1, which has its Pro Kompetition in full swing, but the game was also not presented at EVO Japan.
