T1 midlaner, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, has become the first professional player to be inducted into the Hall of Legends, the equivalent of a Hall of Fame for professional League of Legends players.
To commemorate the opening of the Hall of Legends and Faker's induction, LoL developers will hold a special in-game event. Additionally, on June 14, Riot Games will release a documentary about Lee Sang-hyeok's career and gift him a custom Mercedes-AMG SL 63.
Each year, Riot Games will select one esports athlete who will join the Unkillable Demon King in this official recognition from the developer. The nickname of a player to receive such an honor will be determined through a vote among industry veterans and experts. Inductees will receive a unique trophy and a special in-game event featuring new cosmetic items, with the proceeds from sales going to the player and their team.
Faker began his professional career in 2013 and has competed exclusively under the T1 tag since then. He is the face of competitive League of Legends, and its most decorated player, with four World Championship victories, two MSI championships, and numerous other tournament trophies.
