PGL Bucharest 2025 turned out to be a surprisingly eventful tournament. From Team Liquid’s early exit during the group stage to a string of unexpected results, the event kept fans guessing. One of the biggest shocks came from Team Falcons, who started the Swiss stage with a 0–2 record—few could have predicted they'd come back to lift the trophy in the end.

But once the playoffs began, NiKo and his team found their rhythm. Despite tough quarterfinal and semifinal matches, they made quick work of G2 Esports in the grand final, finishing with a dominant 3–0 victory.

The MVP of the tournament was degster, who had been chasing a major trophy for six long years of his pro career. Ironically, he's now set to leave the Team Falcons main roster. That’s because m0NESY is officially parting ways with G2 Esports, and it's widely expected that the talented AWPer will reunite with NiKo.

This was NiKo’s first trophy with Team Falcons, but fans shouldn't expect too much from the squad at the upcoming Austin Major. The real expectations will be on their performance in the second half of 2025. As for degster, he might end up stuck due to a long-term contract with Team Falcons—unless a transfer deal is made.

The next big event on the calendar is IEM Melbourne, where Team Vitality could potentially claim their fifth Grand Slam season title.
